Proof to Web Product Case Study

ACE Embroidery creates a visual proof for every customised garment: the customer's logo placed on the chosen item, sent for approval before anything is stitched or printed. Clients review and approve them on Proof Manager, a public-facing site at ace-proof.co.uk.

The Business Problem

Once a proof was approved, the garment often needed to go on sale in the customer's online shop. Getting it there meant re-entering the same details by hand: product codes, descriptions, colours, size charts and images, laid out in the exact spreadsheet columns ACE's order-management system expects. It was slow, repetitive and easy to get wrong, and a single proof could only carry one image across.

The Solution

wildesoft.net added a "Create Web Product" step to Proof Manager that turns an approved proof into a shop-ready product:

  • a dedicated web-export sheet is produced automatically, with the product's resources and images included
  • an online description is captured when the proof is created and can be edited at any time
  • colours are completed automatically, choosing a colour updates every row, and a default size chart is used when none is given
  • the garment colour, buyers' personalisation options and stock codes are filled into the right columns
  • categories and size images can be cloned rather than recreated
  • tag lists highlight matches as staff type, so the right product is quicker to find
  • every resource attached to a proof now carries through to the export, not just the first.

The Result

An approved proof can become a product in the customer's shop with a few clicks instead of a page of manual data entry. Details are consistent from proof to shop to production, and ACE can get new ranges on sale far sooner.
