Search Words Written by AI Every Night Case Study
BoB Connections is a business networking organisation with 12 live clubs and over 250 members. Its member search only works if every member can be found by the words a customer would actually type, and those words change as members update their profiles.
The Business Problem
Most members describe their business in a paragraph, not as a list of search words. A will writer might never use the words "write a will", and an IT company might never say "slow computer". Writing and maintaining search words for hundreds of members by hand would be a full-time job, and the list would be out of date as soon as a member changed their profile or a new member joined.
The Solution
wildesoft.net built a new service on .NET 10 that runs every night at 2am. It finds members who are new or have changed their profile, and uses AI to read each one's company page, the customers they want and their testimonials. From these it writes the words people might search for: the trade, the services, the problems customers have, the sectors served, qualifications and the areas covered. Only words the profile supports are allowed, and filler words are never used. The service also refreshes every member's town and position for searches by place.
It's built to run safely on its own. There's a nightly spending limit and a test mode that changes nothing. Its database login can only write the search tables, and it stops rather than writing if anything looks wrong, such as a read that would remove large numbers of members. Members it can't process keep their existing words and are tried again the next night. Head office can see the cost of the last run, the month and in total.
The Result
Every member's search words stay current without anyone writing them, at a small and predictable cost each month.
