Printed Paperwork Case Study
Midland Super Cream's drivers deliver with printed paperwork, and the office prints invoices and delivery notes on dot matrix printers as well as ordinary laser printers. The paperwork has to be clear, consistent and easy to find again.
The Business Problem
The new system had to produce invoices, delivery notes and credit notes that worked on the existing printers, matched what customers were used to and carried the business's own details. Staff also needed copies they could find quickly to attach to an email when a customer asked for one.
The Solution
wildesoft.net built PDF invoices, delivery notes and credit notes that carry the company's details, invoice and delivery addresses, payment terms, van, special instructions and a VAT analysis. The layout and font size were refined with the office until they printed clearly on the dot matrix printers, and how many lines fit on each page can be adjusted without a new release.
Each document is saved automatically into a folder for its customer, so all of a customer's paperwork is in one place, and a copy is dropped into a print folder, ready for printing. Printed and reprinted documents are marked in every list, and reprinting is made clear when an order has changed since it was last printed.
The Result
The office prints clear, familiar paperwork on the printers it already has. Any customer's invoices can be found and emailed in moments.
