Weekly Sales Report Case Study

Apr to Nov 2019

webCRM is a Danish cloud CRM, and wildesoft.net is the UK developer it turns to when a customer needs something bespoke. Job Meal, a Swedish supplier of workplace coffee and refreshments, runs its sales team in webCRM and asked for a weekly report that managers could open without logging in and building it themselves.

The Business Problem

Sales managers wanted to see, every week, how many meetings each salesperson had booked, how many they had actually held, which new opportunities had been opened and won, and how many of each product had been sold. All of that data was in webCRM, but pulling it together meant several exports, a spreadsheet and a good deal of copying and pasting.

The report had to be in Swedish, laid out the way the team already worked, and arrive on time without anyone remembering to make it.

The Solution

wildesoft.net built a reporting service that collects the meetings, opportunities and order lines for the period straight from webCRM, and builds a finished Excel workbook, the "Säljrapport", from a template Job Meal recognised. The front sheet summarises the figures for each salesperson for the two weeks covered, counting the quantities sold rather than just the number of orders, with the raw data on separate sheets for anyone who wants to dig deeper.

The report runs on a schedule and emails the managers a link to download it. Meetings are counted both by the date they were booked and the date they took place, so the team sees activity as well as results.

The Result

Job Meal's managers get the same clear sales report every week, in their own language, without anyone spending time building it. Everyone reads the same figures, from the same source, at the same time.

The report has been in use since 2019 and has grown with the business since.
