Secure Xero Authorisation Case Study

The Business Problem

The authorisation app had been a simple tool with no sign-in of its own, so it couldn't safely be used on the live system. When a connection needed re-linking, for example the UK company, a developer had to step in. As iTS restructured, connections for companies in Spain, Germany and France also needed retiring cleanly, so the services wouldn't keep trying to use them.

The Solution

wildesoft.net rebuilt the app as a secure, self-contained admin tool:

• Sign-in: only authorised administrators can open the app.
• Connections page: it shows each Xero company and lets an admin authorise or re-link it with a click, then confirms the result.
• Retired companies: the old Spanish, German and French connections were removed from the configuration.
• Settings: the app stores what it needs in the shared database and keeps its settings separate for development and live use, so testing never touches real connections.

The Result

iTS can now manage its Xero connections safely on the live system, without a developer. When a connection needs renewing, an admin can do it straight away, so invoices and purchase orders keep flowing.
