Landing Page Sign-ups Case Study

Jan 2021

webCRM is a Danish cloud CRM, and wildesoft.net is the UK developer it turns to when a customer needs something bespoke. For Sterisol, a Swedish maker of hand hygiene and skin care products, wildesoft.net connected webCRM and Mailchimp in both directions. The last piece was new leads.

The Business Problem

Sterisol used Mailchimp landing pages to collect sign-ups from people interested in its products. Those sign-ups stayed in Mailchimp. To follow them up, someone had to spot each new name, check whether the company was already a customer, and type both the company and the person into webCRM.

Leads could sit unnoticed for days, and the same company could easily end up in the CRM twice.

The Solution

wildesoft.net added a step that looks for new sign-ups in Mailchimp, telling them apart from the contacts the service itself had sent across from webCRM. For each new sign-up it checks whether the company already exists in webCRM and uses it if so, or creates it if not. It then does the same for the person, linking them to the company with the details they entered on the form.

The service checks back over the last week each time it runs, so a sign-up is never missed, and a person who is already in webCRM is never added twice.

The Result

Every landing page sign-up now appears in webCRM, attached to the right company, ready for the sales team to follow up. Leads arrive in the CRM without anyone retyping them, and without duplicates.
