Order Feeds and Partner Integration Case Study
ACE Embroidery manages production through OrderWise, its order-management system. Orders arrive from its own online shops and, increasingly, from partners who sell ACE-produced garments through their own websites.
The Business Problem
Penn Studio, a partner design studio, began selling products that ACE would make, but its orders arrived in a different format and couldn't flow into OrderWise automatically. Each one would have had to be re-keyed, with the risk of wrong quantities, prices or delivery details, and the partner had no automatic way of knowing when its orders had been processed. Orders from ACE's own shops also sometimes reached OrderWise with "Unknown" contact details, which slowed things down at the other end.
The Solution
wildesoft.net built an order feed that reads Penn Studio's orders and turns them into OrderWise-ready orders, including:
- quantities, descriptions, delivery methods and delivery contacts
- the customer's logos, so production has the artwork it needs
- prices treated as net, so OrderWise calculates the totals correctly.
The feed was proven on a prototype first and refined with ACE until it matched how OrderWise expects orders. In 2024 it was extended to send processed orders back to Penn Studio automatically, with logging so any failures can be traced.
Alongside this, wildesoft.net added a new, secured export endpoint for OrderWise to collect orders from the shops, a single-order lookup for checking individual orders, payment details in the order feed, and fixes so contact references and emails are filled in rather than "Unknown". Orders with discount codes and VAT-free items now import correctly too.
The Result
Penn Studio's orders now arrive in ACE's production system without re-keying, and Penn Studio is told automatically when they have been processed. Orders from every channel reach OrderWise complete, so ACE's team can get on with making them.
Get in touch if orders from different channels need to land in one system.
