Reseller Quoting Portal Case Study

The Business Problem

Every reseller quote went through iTS's sales team. A reseller who wanted a price had to ask, wait, and then receive a quote in English with iTS's internal details on it. That slowed sales for the resellers and tied up iTS's own staff. Resellers in Germany, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Poland and elsewhere also wanted documents they could read and pass on in their own language.

The Solution

Between 2020 and 2021, wildesoft.net opened the portal to resellers:

• Self-service quoting: resellers can sign in, build quotes and place orders themselves. Internal-only details, such as iTS's sales responsible person, are hidden, and resellers can add their end customer's details.
• CRM records: quotes created by resellers are recorded in webCRM with their own lead source, so iTS can see where business came from.
• PDF quotes: resellers can download a branded PDF, with headers, footers and terms for the iTS operating company they buy from. Table headings and tax wording are translated.
• Languages: the whole portal was translated into German, Spanish, French, English, Dutch, Polish and Russian. Each user's choice of language is remembered.
• Excel quotes and history: an Excel version of each quote followed, along with a "previous quotes" page for downloading or removing old quotes. Some partners' users can be limited to seeing only their own quotes.

The Result

Resellers can price and order iTS products whenever they need to, in their own language, without waiting for iTS staff. iTS's sales team spends less time producing quotes and more time supporting partners. The portal became the foundation for everything that followed, with 200+ features delivered since 2020.
